About the Event
Chicago’s Music legacy is a Lecture/Workshop that introduces and explores the amazing contributions of the city of Chicago has either been the birthplace or the breeding ground of modern music. Chicago originated many genres and subgenres of music, or the early beginnings of them were done here first. Some of the Music genres that Chicago originated or pioneered are: Jazz(Swing, Scatting, Soul-Jazz, Fusion, Space-Jazz) Gospel, Electric or Chicago Blues, Rhythm & Blues, Rock & Roll, Soul, Psychedelic Blues, Chamber Blues, Neoclassical Blues, Psychedelic Rock, Folk-Blues, Folk-Rock, Funk, Industrial Rock, Alternative Rock, Metal, House Music (all genres except Techno, Acid-Jazz, Jungle, Drum & Bass ,and Trance) Juke(faster delayed version of House Music), Hip-Hop( Novelty, Hip-House, Rodeo Style, Fast-Flow, Slant Rhyming, Drill).
